This game has blown me away honestly for a survival game. I've starved to death, died of thirst, froze solid trying to build a fire, been torn apart by a pack of wolves, made my last stand against a wondering hoard of mutants\/zombies. Bled out in the back room of a long forgotten house in the woods. Don't believe the negative reviews posted by people who think a survival is building a base and having it fully stocked all within a hour of game play. Hands down I've had a complete blast on here with firends and making new ones. Progress wise with the game is slow on the dev side but it is fantastic, they still work on it and I hope one day they pick up some steam on it and focus more on it to finish cause they have a great great product here.. I had high hopes for this game. I waited and waited, thinking it would get better over time with updates. Is there only one Developer that works for Entrada? I'm being serious. The updates are small, and seemingly pointless. Rust has so many updates and they add so much content with each one, SO MUCH CONTENT BRO! This dev is not working hard enough to get your hard earned money! People, just play Rust!. No tutorial missions, no single player, lots of crafting mechanics with a "figure it out for yourself" attitude, be prepared to spend more time searching in google than playing the game. A HACKERS PARADISE , because the developers refuse to put money into a real anti-cheat and use that MICKEY MOUSE EAC- Easy Anti Cheat that is as useful and effective as dirty wet bag full of dog poo.. Two more hours and I'll have 1000 into this survival sim, all time well spent! Since going from Beta to Alpha, a lot of changes have taken place and I'd suggest players who gave up on the birthing pains version of the game take another look. If you're looking for KOS PvP, the more populated servers will provide. Several reviewers have complained about this. If that's not your cup of tea, find a less populated server or one with rules limiting PvP. The sim is open ended; there is no storyline, nor "winning". Just like real life, you will have to find your own direction and meaning. I have friends who play just to collect weapons or vehicles, to build cool bases, or to rack up kills. You can live off the land, hunting and foraging, enclose a safe-ish space and take up farming and water collection, scavenge in town for your supper, or hunt players and take their food.The map is a good size, and has a lot of varied terrain. IRL I'm an avid hiker and camper, and this game somewhat satisfies that jones when work or weather won't let me get on a trail. Check out a sunset or the night sky...
